8-Ball
Please see Wikipedia page for the general information about the 8-Ball game.
Note: Simplified rules are implemented in the game.
Implemented rules:
If the player fouls, he loses his turn.
If the cue ball was pocketed, it is returned to the table and placed on any free place behind the head string.
Break
- First going player in the match is determined randomly.
- Winner of the game starts the next one.
- If any target ball (including 8) was pocketed, player continues to shoot.
- If the ball 8 pocketed in the break shot, it is returned to the table and placed at any free place. Breaking player continues.
After break the table is in "open" state. The first pocketed ball (not 8) will determine group of balls (solid or stripe).
The table is open
- If the ball 8 is pocketed, player loses the game.
- If two or more balls were pocketed, the first pocketed ball will determine the player's group of balls.
Group of balls is determined
- The shooter hits one of his group of balls first and pockets one (or more) of his group of balls. It's correct shot and player continues.
- If the ball 8 is pocketed and there is any ball from his group of balls on the table, player loses the game.
- Once a player’s entire group of balls is pocketed, player may sink the 8 ball and win a game.
